The National Consensus Commission hopes to finalise the draft of the July National Charter by tomorrow, said its Vice-President Ali Riaz, as the second phase of dialogue among political parties continued for the 22nd day.
“To advance the dialogue swiftly, we aim to prepare a final draft by this evening or, if necessary, by tomorrow,” he said at the beginning of today’s session at the Foreign Service Academy in Dhaka.
“This would allow us to present the agreed-upon decisions in the form of a universally accepted charter,” he said.
Riaz said each proposal is now under review as the commission works toward concrete decisions.
“Amendments and additions have been shared with you. If you have any objections or suggestions for changes, please make sure to send them to us by tomorrow morning,” he said.
He said a list of issues on which preliminary consensus has been reached would be circulated among participants by this afternoon.
