“Although the trials have not progressed as much as they should have, significant progress has been made. Charge sheets have been filed in some cases,” he told reporters on Thursday at an event in Munshiganj town to inaugurate the July Martyrs’ Memorial at Lichutola- home adviser acknowledged today during addressing at journalist.
“One issue was that many innocent people were also made accused. In some cases, 200 people were named where only 20 should have been accused. This has delayed the investigations. However, we will take steps to ensure those are concluded quickly,” he said.
Referring to the government’s ongoing observance of the ’36 days of July’ programme, he said, “This month consists of 36 days. For these 36 days, the government has arranged a programme. We are here today as part of that programme.”
Industry, Housing and Public Works Adviser Adilur Rahman Khan was attended the event.
