No one can stop Chhatra Dal: Rakib

Jatiyatabadi Chhatra Dal (JCD) President Rakibul Islam Rakib said that no one has the power to stop Chhatra Dal in Bangladesh. He made speech at a student rally in Shahbagh in the capital on Sunday (August 3) afternoon.

Rakibul Islam said, Chhatra Dal can pull out the ‘poison teeth’ of those who want to destabilize the country. Chhatra Dal leaders and activists can implement a nationwide blockade if Chhatra Dal’s organizational guardian Tarique Rahman gives the order.

Earlier, this student rally officially started at around 3:15 pm. BNP acting chairman and Chhatra Dal’s organizational guardian Tarique Rahman has joined virtually from London.

After the recitation of the Quran, the national anthem was recited. Chhatra Dal is holding this rally as part of a month-long program to mark the anniversary of the July-August mass uprising.

A stage has been set up at Shahbagh intersection, facing towards TSC. The rally has become a mass gathered of people with the presence of leaders and activists from Shahbagh intersection .

Leaders and activists from different parts of the country including Dhaka have attended to this rally. The crowd of leaders and activists has increased since morning as time has passed. Processions have arrived in parts at the rally site. Leaders and activists are voicing slogans. Some are holding national flags, while others are holding party flags.

The student rally began with a welcome speech by Chhatra Dal Organizing Secretary Aman Ullah Aman. Then Chhatra Dal Senior Joint Secretary Shyamal Malum spoke.

Chhatra Dal President Rakibul Islam Rakib presided over the rally and former Chhatra Dal leaders including BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir were present on the stage moderated by General Secretary Nasir Uddin Nasir.
