The police have suddenly become monitor over the activities of banned Awami League. The police fear that this political party may create anarchy in the country.

The Special Branch fears, the Awami League may secretly unite and cause attacks or violence. An attempt may be made to create anarchy through organized online and offline campaigns focusing on the period from July 29 to August 8.

The law enforcement agencies also believe some leaders and workers of the party may attack, cause chaos or vandalize government and private establishments during this time.

To tackle the situation, an urgent letter has been issued to various police units from the Special Branch (SB) of the police.

This letter has been sent to the DMP Commissioner, City SB, Divisional Deputy Police Commissioner, Special Police Superintendent of Chittagong and Khulna, and all the district police superintendents of the country.

A special operation has been ordered from July 29 to August 8 to searches of all suspicious vehicles including private motorcycles, microbuses, surveillance around bus terminals, launch piers, railway stations, and airports, and mobile patrols have been increased.
