Govt promised to recover looted weapons before elections: Home Advisor

‘We have not been able to recover all the looted weapons yet. We are trying to recover the weapons. Many more weapons will be recovered before the elections. We will try to ensure that the elections will be well’-Home Affairs Advisor Lieutenant General (Retd.) Md. Jahangir Alam Chowdhury said after visiting the Narayanganj District Police Lines on Saturday (July 26) afternoon.

Addressing the media, the Home Affairs Advisor said, if you publish true news, no one will be able to spread confusion. He urges to publish true news. There is no scope for hiding in this. There will always be some vested interests groups. They always try to create problems.

He also said in a murder case maximum 20 accused expected where more than 200 people made accused in a case. For this reason, the investigation is taking more time so that no innocent people not be punished under any circumstances.
Jahangir Alam Chowdhury said, there is no difference between us and the political party. Our job is to maintain law and order. Your (political party) job is to go to the people and get votes. For this, I will request the political parties not to create conflict.

Narayanganj District Superintendent of Police Pratyush Kumar Majumder, Additional Superintendent of Police Tarek Al Mehedi, Israt Jahan and others were present during visit.
