The deep sympathy to the family members of Flight Lieutenant Towkir Islam expressed by BNP Chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia and the party’s acting chairman Tarique Rahman conveyed today by BNP delegation.
A delegation led by party secretary general Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir visited Towkir’s residence at Dhaka Cantonment this afternoon and conveyed messages of condolence from the party chief and acting chairman to the bereaved family.
The delegation spoke to Towkir’s widow Aksha Ahammed Nijhum, his father-in-law, and other family members, offering words of comfort in their time of profound grief.
BNP vice-chairman Air Vice Marshal (Retd) Altaf Hossain Chowdhury, Major General (Retd) Fazle Elahi Akbar, and Brigadier General (Retd) Dr AKM Shamsul Islam were also present during the visit.
