BNP Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman said, the people of the country did not continue the movement for the past one and a half decades to hand over power to a few people, nor did they die in the July mass uprising. The people have overthrown the dictatorship and sacrificed their lives to establish their rights in the state and government. So whoever is in the government, if you want to run the government, you must listen to the citizens.
He said during joining a virtual meeting at the Darul Ihsan Madrasa ground in Ashulia, Savar on Wednesday (July 30) afternoon.

Fascists are eager to take the opportunity to rehabilitate themselves in politics, the fascist evil forces are eager to take the opportunity to rehabilitate in politics- he added. He has called on everyone, especially the interim government, to be vigilant-

He warned that who fell and escaped in exchange for the blood of hundreds of martyrs, are eager to take the opportunity to rehabilitate in politics. Any wrong decision by the interim government can put the country’s journey to democracy in crisis. Fascism, extremism, and extremism can rise in the country. Everyone, especially the interim government, must be vigilant .

BNP organized this meeting titled ‘Narokiyo July’ in honor of the families of the students, workers, and people who were martyred in the mass uprising in July-August to mark the anniversary of the mourning and victory.
Tareq Rahman said, “As a political activist, a citizen, I believe that one of the main ways for a citizen to exercise political power is through elections. As a responsible party, BNP repeatedly prioritizes free and fair elections in order to ensure that every citizen can speak for himself. I believe that if people at every level, from local government to national government, get the opportunity to directly elect representatives of their choice through voting, the will of the people will prevail in the state and government. Political stability will be maintained in the state.”
